This Privacy Policy explains how Socialize, operated by DAB Innovation Group, LLC, collects, uses, and protects your information. We believe in your fundamental right to privacy. Our business model is built on providing a secure social experience, not on monetizing your personal data.

Information We Collect

To provide a streamlined and secure experience, Socialize limits account creation to third-party authentication services. We collect the following data:

Authentication Data: We utilize OAuth exclusively. We receive a token and basic profile confirmation when you sign in with Apple or sign in with Google.
Profile Data: First name, birthdate, gender, interests, and profile images provided by you.
Location Data: Socialize is fundamentally based on physical proximity. We collect precise location data to enable the app's core features. You must grant location permissions via your device settings to use the app and interact with others.
Communications: We facilitate chat messages and image sharing between users.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Socialize app.

Your profile data and location are used to display your profile to other users and facilitate real-world connections. If you revoke location permissions, the app's core matching functionality will pause.
Your birthdate is utilized during onboarding to ensure you are at least 18 years of age. We may utilize on-device, localized ID checks to confirm age appropriateness without transmitting or storing your physical ID on our servers.
In alignment with our corporate social responsibility standards, we are committed to providing an equitable platform. We do not use your gender, interests, or location to serve targeted advertising, nor do we employ algorithms designed to discriminate or marginalize users.

Data Sharing

Your privacy is our priority. Socialize does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstance:

Authentication Providers: We share necessary routing data with Apple and Google strictly to facilitate the OAuth sign-in process.
Third-Party Infrastructure and Sub-Processors
To operate the Socialize App on a global scale, DAB Innovation Group, LLC relies on secure third-party infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting services and content delivery networks).

Under applicable data protection laws, these entities act as our sub-processors. They process your data strictly on our behalf, under binding contractual obligations, and are expressly prohibited from using your personal information for their own commercial or marketing purposes.

In alignment with our commitment to user privacy and security, these infrastructure providers operate as "blind" processors regarding your private communications. Because your chats and shared images are safeguarded by End-to-End Encryption (E2EE), our cloud hosts merely route and store encrypted data packets. They do not possess the cryptographic keys required to decrypt, view, or access your private content.

International Data Transfers

DAB Innovation Group, LLC is a limited liability company headquartered and operated in the United States. By authenticating an account and using Socialize, you explicitly acknowledge and consent that your personal information—including your profile data and location metrics—will be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located in the United States.

Please be aware that data protection and privacy laws in the United States may differ from, and may not provide the same level of statutory protection as, the laws in your country of residence (including Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area).

To protect your fundamental right to privacy regardless of jurisdiction, we apply strict security standards globally. While all data transferred between your device and our servers is secured using industry-standard transit encryption, your private chats and shared images are further protected by full End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). This means your private communications remain mathematically inaccessible to us, regardless of where the data packets are routed or stored. Where legally required for the cross-border transfer of your profile and location data that we process to provide proximity features, we rely on appropriate, legally recognized safeguards, such as your explicit consent and standard contractual clauses.

Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK Users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), DAB Innovation Group, LLC acts as the data controller. We process your personal data under the following lawful bases defined by the GDPR:

Performance of a Contract: We process your authentication data and profile information (such as your first name and image) because it is strictly necessary to perform the contract we have with you to provide the core Socialize service, including account creation and proximity matching.
Your Explicit Consent: We process your precise geolocation data based entirely on your explicit consent, which is requested via your device operating system during onboarding. We also rely on your consent to retain your inactive account data indefinitely to preserve your social graph. You may withdraw your consent for location tracking at any time via your device settings, and you may withdraw your consent for data retention by submitting an account deletion request.
Legitimate Interests: We process behavioral metadata (such as interaction timestamps, report volume, and block velocity) based on our legitimate interest in maintaining platform security, preventing fraud, and investigating standard violations of our Terms of Service (e.g., harassment). This processing is strictly necessary to uphold our corporate social responsibility mandate to provide a safe, equitable community, and it never involves decrypting your private communications.
Compliance with a Legal Obligation: To strictly comply with our zero-tolerance policy and statutory reporting obligations regarding illegal content (such as Child Sexual Abuse Material), we utilize a client-side "blind relay" reporting mechanism. If a user utilizes this feature, we process the transmission of the cryptographically sealed payload directly to appropriate authorities without ever viewing or possessing the content. We also process and preserve non-encrypted account metadata (such as authentication identifiers, profile data, and interaction timestamps) to comply with valid legal processes and law enforcement warrants.

Jurisdiction-Specific Provisions (Mexico)

If you are a resident of Mexico, you expressly consent to the processing and cross-border transfer of your personal data—specifically your profile data and precise location metrics—to DAB Innovation Group, LLC in the United States, as well as to our required authentication providers (Apple and Google) strictly for the purpose of facilitating your account access and providing the proximity features of the App.

In compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), you acknowledge that this transfer is strictly limited to the core operational purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We do not and will not transfer your personal data to any other third-party service providers without obtaining your explicit, separate consent.

Your Privacy and Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction of residence (including the EEA, UK, Canada, Mexico, and certain U.S. states), you possess fundamental rights regarding your personal data. DAB Innovation Group, LLC is committed to providing an equitable platform and honors these rights for all users globally.

You may exercise the following rights:

Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. This includes your profile data, authentication identifiers, and non-encrypted interaction metadata. Because your private communications and shared images are strictly End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE), we do not possess the keys to decrypt them and cannot provide access to the content of your chat histories.
Right to Correction (Rectification): You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data. You can exercise this right directly at any time by editing your profile details within the Socialize app settings.
Right to Deletion (Erasure): You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data. You can exercise this right directly through the in-app deletion tools or by contacting our privacy team.
Right to Object and Restrict Processing: You have the right to object to or request the restriction of our processing of your data. You may restrict our processing of your precise location at any time by revoking the App's location permissions via your device operating system settings. If you restrict location processing, the App's proximity matching functionality will be disabled, but you will retain access to your account and may continue to chat with your existing connections. Objecting to the baseline processing of your core profile and authentication data, however, would necessitate the deletion of your account.

To exercise any of these rights, please utilize the tools provided within the App or contact our privacy team at privacy@dabinnovation.com. We will verify your request using your authenticated OAuth token and respond within the timeframes mandated by applicable law (typically 30 days).

Data Retention, Encryption, and Security

Data Retention:
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, primarily to provide the core features of the App and to maintain your established social connections.

To ensure you do not lose your social graph, chat histories, or connections if you take an extended break from the App, we retain your inactive account data based on our legitimate business interest in providing a seamless, continuous user experience upon your return. Your account and associated data will be preserved in our systems unless and until you explicitly request deletion.

Upon receiving a verifiable deletion request via our in-app tools or through our privacy contact email, all associated personal data—including your profile, location metrics, and encrypted chat histories—will be permanently and irrevocably purged from our active servers.
End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): All user chat messages and images sent within chats are fully end-to-end encrypted. Socialize and its parent company cannot decrypt, view, or scan your private communications.
Security: We implement industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your location data and private communications from unauthorized access.

Safety, Moderation, and Reporting

Because we utilize strict E2EE, we cannot proactively scan your messages for inappropriate content. We rely on our community to maintain a safe environment.

If you experience harassment or inappropriate behavior, you may report the offending user directly through the app.
Submitting a report will immediately block the user from further interactions with you.
To protect your privacy, reporting a user does not forward or decrypt your chat history to our moderation team. You will be asked to type a brief note explaining the violation, which our team will use alongside behavioral metrics to take appropriate action against the offending account.

Terms of Service #

Welcome to Socialize. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DAB Innovation Group, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By authenticating your account and using the Socialize application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. Questions about these Terms or the use of the App should be directed to support@dabinnovation.com.

Acceptable Use

Socialize is designed to facilitate safe, real-world connections. To maintain this environment, you agree to the following rules of conduct:

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
Proximity Features: You understand that Socialize requires precise location tracking to function. You must enable these permissions via your device.
User Conduct: You agree not to use the App to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm any other user, either digitally or in the physical world.
Prohibited Content: You may not use the App to distribute illegal material, spam, or solicitations.
Reporting and Blocking: We provide in-app tools to report and block abusive users. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, based on user reports and our internal safety metrics.

Intellectual Property

Our Property: Except for third-party software, open-source components, and third-party trademarks incorporated into the App, all code, design, logos, and features of Socialize are the exclusive intellectual property of DAB Innovation Group, LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App strictly for its intended purpose.
Third-Party Trademarks: "Apple," "Sign in with Apple," "Apple Maps," "Google," "Sign in with Google," and "Google Maps" are registered trademarks of their respective owners (Apple Inc. and Google LLC). The use of these trademarks within the App is strictly for interoperability and authentication purposes and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by Apple Inc. or Google LLC.
Open Source Software: The App utilizes certain third-party libraries and open-source software components (such as XMPP client libraries, etc.). These components are subject to their own respective open-source licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under, or grants you rights that supersede, the terms and conditions of any applicable open-source license.
Your Profile: By creating an account, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display your profile information (such as your first name, age, gender, image, and interests) to other users within the App for the sole purpose of operating the service.

Third-Party Mapping Services

Socialize relies on third-party mapping integrations to provide proximity features. By using the App, you are also bound by the terms of these third-party providers:

Google Maps: On Android devices, the App utilizes Google Maps APIs. By using the App, you agree to be bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Apple Maps: On iOS devices, the App utilizes Apple MapKit. By using the App, you agree to be bound by the Apple Maps Terms of Use.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAB INNOVATION GROUP, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Real-World Interactions: Socialize does not conduct criminal background checks on its users. We make no representations or warranties regarding the conduct, identity, or intentions of users you meet through the App. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users, particularly when meeting in person.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the liability of DAB Innovation Group, LLC, its Managing Member, and its appointed officers is strictly limited according to the laws of the State of Texas. If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction (such as the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area) that mandates non-waivable consumer protection rights, this agreement does not override those statutory rights.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY INJURY, DISTRESS, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your authentication provider or through a prominent notice within the App. Continued use of the App following such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Account and Data Deletion Requests #

Indefinite Retention: We retain your account data in perpetuity to ensure continuous service should you take an extended break from the App.
Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data at any time by using the in-app deletion tools or by emailing us at privacy@dabinnovation.com. Upon verification of your request, we will permanently remove your data from our active systems.

Child Safety and CSAM Policy #

Zero Tolerance: Socialize is strictly for users 18 and older. We have a zero-tolerance policy for the exploitation of minors and the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Standard Moderation & Behavioral Metrics: Because all private communications on Socialize are End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE), we cannot and do not proactively scan, view, or possess your messages. Standard user reports (e.g., for harassment or spam) submitted via a user's profile do not grant us access to your chat history. Instead, we enforce our Terms using behavioral metrics, such as report volume and block velocity, to suspend or terminate abusive accounts.
Reporting Illegal Content (The Blind Relay): To ensure illegal material can be reported without compromising our E2EE architecture or forcing DAB Innovation Group, LLC into legal possession of illicit content, we utilize a direct-to-authority reporting mechanism. If you encounter CSAM or severe illegal content, you must use the in-chat "long-press" reporting feature. This encrypts the specific message and relays it directly to trusted authorities (such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) without our systems ever decrypting or viewing the payload.
Reporting Interface Roadblocks: Attempting to report illegal content through the standard profile reporting tool will prompt a redirect, instructing you to use the in-chat long-press feature. We do not accept text-based allegations of CSAM through standard channels without the accompanying cryptographically secure relay to authorities.

Apple App Store Additional Terms #

If you download the App through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. In the event of any conflict between these additional terms and the rest of the Terms of Service, these additional terms shall control with respect to your use of the App on Apple-branded products.

Acknowledgement

You and DAB Innovation Group, LLC acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and DAB Innovation Group, LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). DAB Innovation Group, LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and the content thereof.

Scope of License

The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded Products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Maintenance and Support

You and DAB Innovation Group, LLC acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

Warranty

Apple will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of DAB Innovation Group, LLC, subject to the limitations of liability set forth in these Terms.

Product Claims

You and DAB Innovation Group, LLC acknowledge that DAB Innovation Group, LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any of your claims or any third-party claims relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

Intellectual Property Rights

In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, DAB Innovation Group, LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-Party Beneficiary

You and DAB Innovation Group, LLC acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
